FC130 Watson Frequency Counter

Although Frequency Counters are not strictly bug detectors, they are very useful if you discover a hidden transmitter and want to know what it is transmitting on for further investigation.
The FC130 Watson Frequency Counter is a great little device (I have one in my collection), as it also has a signal strength meter, and a telescopic aerial to match the aerial length to the resonant frequency of a transmitter. Useful for determining if the signal is innocuous or something more significant. It features a rechargable ni-cad battery and power supply unit, and lasts for about 6 hours of continuous usage. You can filter the receiver to 300Mhz or to 3Ghz, with a hold buttons to capture the frequency so that you can jot it down.
You can see the FC130 Watson Frequency Counter and other frequency counters on the Waters and Stanton PLC website. It is quite inexpensive, costing less than £60 (not including delivery)!
