Spoofing a SMS Text Message

SMS Text Message

I have added a great new eBook to the spy shop. The ebook gives you step-by-step instructions on how you can make a text message appear as if it was sent by someone else!

This technique of interfering with the apparent origin of the text message is called spoofing. Spoofing is a term that applies to a number of technologies, particularly computer networks.

Clearly I test any product that I sell on Spy Review, and I had great fun with this one. I sent a message to a friend saying that he was currently being investigated by the fashion police! I’m looking forward to the (over-)reaction that I get on Monday!

When clicking on your ebook I get ‘Unfortunately the Spoof SMS eBook is no longer available. This is due to a change in protocol by the company providing the SMS service.’

Why not just link to one of the many spoof sms services out there? I recommend hoaxMail (http://www.hoaxmail.co.uk).

If you have sent an anon SMS via Hoax Mail. Is there anyway they can find out that it was me who sent it. The person I have sent it from has contacted their mobile phone company.

I’m not sure I understand your question. Could you explain more please?
