A report on BBC News highlights that the UK is “the most surveilled country” compared to other industrialised Western states. The Surveillance Studies Network report said there are up to 4.2m CCTV cameras - about one for every 14 people. The report probes the discussion about too much surveillance, abusing technology for commercial and dubious security purposes.
