Spy Review

This is an interview with Steve Buckley from Online Spy Shop. Steve’s company specialises in Spy Phones and customised surveillance equipment.

How did you get started in the spy world?

I became interested in the spy industry many years back after deciding to change my career from a secure qualified trade to move into the surveillance industry. This was quite a bold move to do which received negative advice from family and friends because of the security I had in my employment. It worked for me because I believed in myself and never gave up and I always knew I would be successful because of my enthusiasm.

I started out by completing a number of advanced surveillance courses throughout the UK over a period of 2 years and then found myself in a very privileged position when I received further 1 on 1 training from Greater Manchester’s CID unit in advanced surveillance techniques.

What would you say your expertise in security and surveillance is?

Of course I’m learning all the time however my experience in covert surveillance and anti-surveillance techniques is quite brushed up. I think I worked alongside some of the best guys in the field when I first started out so I propelled quite quickly.

It’s not just a case of following a person or vehicle, its a lot more involved and requires good planning and confidence. It most definitely change my outlook on many things. Now, we have moved forward in a different direction where we spend a lot more time building the equipment for operatives out in the field.

What interests you most in the spy world?

Fortunately we are in a good position to know of new products as they are released so I have to say one of the perks is getting to grips with a new product is quite exciting. I’ve also met some colourful and interesting people I would never of done normally but what really interests me is when we develop a new product that exceeds itself.

What would you say your favourite spy gadget is?

Without doubt my favourite gadget is the spyphone. For those who have never heard of a spyphone, this is proberbly the most amazing pocket detective to hit the public domain. Used in the correct manner it will give you vital information on all mobile text and calls for peace of mind of your loved ones and children’s activities.
