GSM Wall Clock

The GSM Wall Clock is the latest offering from TrackerShack. It features a GSM bug that has been attached to the rear of a modern style wall clock.

GSM bugs are basically mobile phones without all the fancy features. You dial into them as you would any mobile phone, except a GSM bug will answer automatically and allow you to listen in on conversations happening around the bug. GSM bugs fall into a class of bug called Infinity Transmitters. The word infinity refers to the effective transmitting distance of the bug. Since GSM bugs use cell phone networks, you can potentially listen in from anywhere in the world, which sounds like infinity to me!

The GSM bug can be dialled from anywhere in the world, allowing you to listen to what is going on within 2 to 3 metres of the microphone. The batteries last for 2 weeks on standby, but will run down more quickly depending on how often you dial into the bug. It’s a great idea, and I believe its the first of its kind too!

Special Offer

I’ve managed to arrange a special deal with TrackerShack. If you decide to buy this GSM Wall Clock, then quote the code SR0GSMC02 when placing an order by telephone (code is not compatible with the online system), and you will get a £10 discount!

  1. Yash Says:

Why not wire it up so it sucks juice from the clock battery while on standby. The clock batteries will run down quickly but it should increase the capacity. also most ppl would think something is wrong with the clock rather than suspect a ‘gsm bug’

  2. Dan Says:

If you change the batteries every few days, people will get suspicious, and possibly even try to change the batteries themselves. Which would blow the cover of the hidden bug!
