The Snake Camera - Squeezing Into Small Spaces!
The police and special forces use optical-fibre type cameras that are used to squeeze the camera into really tight spaces. You can insert them through small holes, fences, around corners, cooling vents, etc. Well I have finally found one of these cameras in the public sector, called a snake camera!
The camera features a tiny 4mm lens and a colour CCD camera module. It’s powered by 12V and uses a useful handle to manoeuvre the camera into the desired position. The flexible cable is nearly a foot long too (30cm). I’ve never seen these in public before, so its great to finally see them. However, $548 is not cheap!
