GSM Signal Detector Counter-Surveillance Device
GSM technology is being used in a number of ways for surveillance purposes these days, such as audio listening devices, mobile phone tracking, and spy cameras via GPRS or MMS technologies. This is primarily due to the very low cost of mobile phones and pervasive cell phone networks around us. As a result, the threat of espionage with GSM technology is now very high.
The GSM signal detector is a hand-held device to warn the user of any device using GSM signals with a potential range of up to 200 metres. Warnings are given with an internal vibration or via the LED signal strength meter on the front. The device is capable of detecting GSM devices within all major signal bands and the suppler sells EU and US versions of the gadget.
The device is particularly suited to use by the police, military, government and businesses targeted by corporate spies. It’s not that suited to the private individual due to the high cost (£600 / $1200). However, being thorough with a good quality bug detector is perfectly adequate for the majority of us common folk!
