Hiding a Spy Camera in Clothing
One of the most covert ways of hiding a camera is to conceal it within clothing. The flexibility of patterns, straps and folds that naturally occur in clothing and accessories make them perfect for hiding a spy camera, wiring and batteries. Even with close inspection, the cameras can be very difficult to spot.
The Baseball Cap with a Covert Video Camera is a prime example of this, although I can imagine that the battery near your head is not too comfortable. If you have long hair, you could hide a wire underneath your hair to conceal a battery pack in an inside pocket however. If you’re not used to wearing a baseball cap, doing so with a camera might look strange.
Eyetek do a number of body-worn cameras, where the backpack cameras, briefcase cameras and handbag cameras form the core of their range. Any kind of bag can easily hide a camera. As long as your target is not too security conscious (and ideally, not even aware they are under surveillance), the bag or briefcase is unlikely to be searched.
If you have some time, you could easily rig up your own hidden camera in a bag you own too. Hiding a camera so that it is invisible and search-proof is exceptionally difficult to do. If you’re going to be searched, perhaps a body-worn camera is not the way to go! Perhaps a camera hidden in a mobile phone…
