With the price of spy cameras dropping to very affordable prices, the risk of hidden cameras being installed in compromising locations has risen to a shocking level. If you’re able to give a room or location a quick scan with a detection device such as this, then it might just give you some peace of mind that you still have your privacy.
MicroVideoX are able to supply a basic transmitting camera detection device that’s roughly the size of a credit card. It has been designed to pick up wireless cameras, and can pick up a 10mW low power wireless camera at a distance of around a metre. The detector is a broadband transmitter detector, detecting signals between 50MHz and 3GHz, but has been tweaked to be sensitive to cameras on the 1.2GHz and 2.4GHz frequencies.
The credit card sized camera detector will be far more sensitive than the camera detecting pen. This is because the latter is a very simplistic device. However, the wireless camera detector will not be able to detect wired cameras, but the SpyFinder camera detector is able to detect both wired and wireless cameras.
The camera detector is a simple device, and might be suited for family members to ensure they get their deserved privacy too!
