Optical Hidden Spy Camera Detector

The Hidden Spy Camera Detector is capable of detecting a large range of sophisticated hidden video cameras including all those that use CMOS and CCD chipsets. The detector can detect wireless and wired cameras, even if they’re switched off!

The Optical Detector emits infrared and red light from an ultra bright LED (not a laser as some places will have you believe). By looking through the filtered monocular, you will see any camera lens flashing with a bright red dot. The technique for detection is very similar to the Spy Finder camera detector.

The optical detector is cheaper to the version I stock, but I’m not sure how effective it is. However, I’m always in favour of cheap spy gear.

I’m betting that the technology behind this is fairly simple - and once you know how it works - it would be pretty simple to make one yourself.

Flashing RED leds at a specific wavelength with a red filter at a matching wavelength. So if you can find out what they are, then sure!
