British Councillor jailed for using Spy Camera

In the news this week is the story of a British Hampshire Councillor (local government official to our non-UK visitors) convicted and jailed for using a spy camera in the bathroom to film female visitors to his home. He filmed two girls (under 18) and a 30 year old woman.
The councillor was caught when he gave a copy of the video footage to his lodger, who then promptly handed the material to the police. He pleaded guilty to four charges of voyeurism and one for gross indecency, and is to serve a 4 months jail sentence for each offence running concurrently.
It just goes to show that you shouldn’t be using covert spy cameras for invading privacy. If you do, you go to jail!
