Tiny Spy Camera Recorder Review

I’ve reviewed really tiny spy cameras in the past, but how about a tiny video camera with a real-time digital video recorder built in? It’s so small, it can fit into a standard pack of chewing gum! It’s roughly the size and weight of a standard disposable cigarette lighter, therefore exceptionally simple to conceal.

The SpyCamStick is able to record video at an impressive 15 frames per second using the internal pinhole camera. This is roughly equivalent to what you are able to capture on your mobile phone. The video is captured into the 3GP third generation format which is compatible with virtually all camera-based mobile phones and most PDAs. You can also play the videos on PCs that have Apple’s Quicktime installed too.

Using a 1GB SD memory card, you can record up to 33 hours of video. The internal battery is charged via USB, and can be used for 2 hours of recording before the battery runs out. If you had a portable USB charger, as in a device that charges USB devices without a computer, this camera would be completely portable. At just over $200, this is what I’d expect for a piece of kit like this. It also includes a 1GB SD card and card reader too, which is a well thought out selection of accessories.

See the mini spy camera and video recorder product page for more information.

Do not spend money on this article. Do not work, SD card do not fit properlly and the instuctions to use it are very poor.

I agree. Instructions are really shit but you can figure out how to record stuff. The problem however is a battery. It lasts only for 20 minutes of recording!!! Terrible really.
