Rear View Video Camera With Auido for Car

A lot of us have been in a car one time or another wishing we had a video camera to record something we had witnessed or even been involved in. As a result, we are left in despair because we have no material proof of the incident.

Now things might be different. This rear view recorder with a 2.5in LCD screen records what the driver might see ahead and also behind.

The camera from BrickHouse Security
records in front of the car, the view a driver would have, and also has a the facility to be fitted with a camera to record the rear view. It provides both video and audio recordings so not only can it be seen what is happening but the sounds and noise that are being made on the roads are also recorded.

It simply removes an existing rear view mirror and is easily installed into the lighter for easy setup of the system. The camera will start recording automatically as soon as the engine comes on and will continue to record until the engine is turned off. The recordings are stored on to a memory card that can be erased and recorded over.

I can see it being useful in two regards. One, it can be used to improve the driving skills, especially for a new driver. The recordings can be viewed on a bigger screen such as a TV or on a computer screen. It can be used to analyse how the ride went in regards to safety and how improvements can be made in the future in terms of the various elements involved in riding a vehicle such as speed, steering, movements, etc. Also, with the mirror giving wider angle of the rear than a normal rear mirror, it can provide a better view of the back.

Secondly, it can provide hard proof of any incident that might occur while someone is driving, either related to the vehicle or involving other vehicles, or even something not related to vehicles but something the camera happens to record because its in the vicinity of an area that falls in the scope of the camera, and with sound recordings, this will be enhanced. For example, say a person is making a claim on insurance after an incident involving their vehicle, and are certain they are in the right, they will have video evidence to prove this.

The quality of the camera itself is pretty good judging by a few reviews left by people who have purchased the product, although it cannot be said for certain that they are impartial, I would assume them to be though.
