Shooting Net to Apprehend Suspect

Shooting Net

There have been quite a few different types of gadgets that have come to the market designed to be an alternative means to the traditional ways of apprehending a suspect, this net shooter seems a good idea on paper, but it has certain limitations that would deem it unreliable for such use.

The net shooter works bit like a gun so anyone should be able to fire with a good level of accuracy after some practice. It uses the air to generate power for shooting. The net shooter itself is quite well designed piece of equipment that is slim and pretty light so can be carried around quite easily. It can fire a distance up to 15 metres and the net itself is up to 3 feet in diameter thus casting a wide shadow over the assailant.

Garmin Astro GPS Dog Tracking System

Although we are more accustomed to seeing GPS technology in finding street section coordinates used in tracking systems for vehicles, this device is designed to track the location of a dog(s).

Keysure - Key Control System

Keysure Key Control System

There are situations when you need to store away an important key or some other form of entry that can only be accessed in an emergency. It may be a key to a door, safe or even a password to a system. While it may not be prudent to stop access to them altogether, nonetheless, the access should be left to a designated person(s) who can use it in case of an emergency. It also stops a key being misused or running the risk of it being copied.

Self-Defence - Dog Repellent

Dog Repeller

While a dog is affectionately called a man’s best friend, unfortunately, its not always the case; some are quite aggressive and can be quite dangerous.

The volatility of a dog toward strangers will depend on a number of factors such as breed (some types are more aggressive than others), how well they are trained, etc. Sadly, we hear more and more stories of aggressive dogs mauling small defenceless children, in particular. In some cases the victim is a member of the household of the dog owner itself.

Remote Computer Surveillance

SniperSpy

This software operates a bit like a keystroke logger recording keystrokes of the user, but unlike a key logger, which is a physical product that discreetly attaches to the back of the computer via USB and only able to record the strokes, this on the other hand, is a software that does not need to be installed on the computer that you wish to monitor and thereby making it more discreet and will also send screenshots of what the person may be viewing. You can do it remotely from anywhere.

The idea behind the software called SniperSpy, from Retina X Studios, is that it can monitor the activity taking place without the person using it being wise to this fact.

Handheld Wireless Spy Camera Receiver and Camera

This handheld wireless receiver and digital video recorder is a bit of spy kit that has been on my wish list for a long time. Thanks again to Pakatak, I finally get to play with this lovely bit of kit! In a nutshell, the receiver allows you to receive any 2.4GHz wireless camera and then record the video footage into an MPEG4 format. There are many overt and covert video cameras that are compatible with this receiver, as it uses the standard video frequencies. This kit combines a receiver, 2.5 inch (5 cm) monitor and a video recorder in a single portable gadget.

This kit particularly lends itself to operations in the field. No bulky monitors, PCs or laptops to worry about when using this portable receiver. All you need is a battery, a camera and the receiver.
