Remote Computer Surveillance

This software operates a bit like a keystroke logger recording keystrokes of the user, but unlike a key logger, which is a physical product that discreetly attaches to the back of the computer via USB and only able to record the strokes, this on the other hand, is a software that does not need to be installed on the computer that you wish to monitor and thereby making it more discreet and will also send screenshots of what the person may be viewing. You can do it remotely from anywhere.
The idea behind the software called SniperSpy, from Retina X Studios, is that it can monitor the activity taking place without the person using it being wise to this fact.
SniperSpy works by installing a piece of software known as a module and then sending an email to the remote computer a person wishes to spy on. Once a person signs up, they will be sent this module to download onto their local computer and then deploy it to the remote computer they wish to spy on by attaching the module’s EXE file onto a regular email. Of course, the user will think its just a normal email and will not suspect the module is actually attached to it. The opening of the email will trigger actual recording to start.
You will then log into the SniperSpy account to see what is being recorded; it even includes screenshots of what they are viewing.
It would be great to monitor children’s activities to ensure they are staying away from adult content; it can also track their behaviour on social network sites, instant messaging, etc to make sure they are not involving themselves in dangerous behaviour. It can also be used to monitor a partner if they are suspected of having an affair.
AceSpy, also from Retina X Studios, is quite similar but needs to be installed on the computer that needs monitoring. It will track a user’s behaviour and send information to your email. It is able to record emails, social networking sites, instant messaging, keystrokes, webcam snapshots, and more.

The products bypass Windows firewall but does not say whether it bypasses other security measures that might be installed on the computer. I am not sure whether using products like these would contravene any privacy issues, but since its your computer that you are monitoring, I guess it will be fine.
