CCTV on Mobile Phone

Video surveillance systems such as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) can be a powerful resource to have at your disposal. The ability to fully monitor and record a designated area through a series of cameras and a control system can provide you with a significant amount of flexibility. That is of course, if you are able to get in front of the monitoring unit to view what's happening live or have the time spend viewing the recordings that your CCTV has made.

More advanced CCTV systems allow the user to either log in through their computer and view the live video or recordings. While this is definitely an improvement, accessing a WiFi point or using a mobile network to connect with your laptop is not exactly the most discrete option available. Plus, you'll still have to dedicate the same amount of time to monitoring it or reviewing the video.

Apparently, CCTVMobile has had the same concerns about the limitations of CCTV and has addressed them with their ConnectVu series of products.

The ConnectVu series is a complete operation in itself. You’ve got a variety of options for the monitoring system itself as well as two different video camera models. The system can support up to four video camera models per capture card, with a max of four cards per system (16 video cameras in total).

The system allows you to monitor and record all the activity from the video cameras and even connect to it remotely through it’s internet connect. But the ConnectVu CCTV system has two features that make this a must have surveillance system: mobile phone compatibility and Intelligent Motion Detection.

As long as you’re using a mobile phone that operates on GPRS, GSM, or 3G for it’s mobile internet connection, and is capable of running applications in Java and Brew, you’ll be able to access to your ConnectVu CCTV system from anytime, anywhere. Utilizing the core systems internet connection, the video is actually streamed directly to your phone with a full range of functions. All cameras connect to your system are accessible, and you can switch through all of them or move them around to get a better view.

What makes this mobile phone connectivity even more impressive is through the addition of their Intelligent Motion Detection. Directly from your phone, you’ll be able to designate specific areas recorded by your video cameras that will detect any movement or change and capture it. After it’s been captured, it will even alert you through text message or e-mail so you’re as up to date as if you were actively viewing the video cameras.

The features for the CCTVMobile ConnectVu series of products are really impressive and they do offer a significant amount of versatility. Unless you’ve got the time to constantly monitor your CCTV system, this may be the perfect solution to fit your needs.

To conclude, this system is ideal for multiple location viewing and those that want to keep an eye on their home, office or any other location even when away for substantial period of time. As you would expect, to take advantage of everything the system has to offer it will require substantial investment in the various components required to utilise it to its full potential. However, the cost seems the only real downside because the surveillance itself is of quailty not matched by many other systems available on the market as of now.
