Walking Stick With Built-In Telescope

Walking sticks are usually used by people with a serious medical condition afflicting the lower half of their body that unables them to walk without support; it is also used by some elderly members of the public who might be too frail to walk without some sort of aid. Wouldn’t it be a lot more fun if they had a walking stick that also has a built in telescope? It sure would add more fun to taking a trip to the park and whiling away hours on a bench.
But when you add the ability to change the tip of the walking stick into a telescope you get an entirely different perspective on the gentleman. He could be a spy or just an ordinary pervert. Who knows?
The unique walking stick handle changes into a telescope in a matter of seconds, so you can see what is up ahead all around you. May be a great thing to have if you are strolling in the park and want to see who else might be around. The telescope provides 3X magnification when it is extended to full length, will tilt to 60 degrees and will even lock in place.
Whether you like the idea of a gentleman walking around with a walking stick that allows him to view his environment secretly or not, you will be impressed by the 1 inch thick staff made for one piece of African rosewood.

It’s definitely a gentleman’s spy gadget, but I’m not sure how much benefit you’ll get from just 3x magnification. If it was a great deal more magnification, it would be a lot more useful. I could also imagine it being a hunter’s toy too, particularly for seeing what game lies behind the horizon.

Hercule Poirot used to carry one of these while he was out of town. But then again the right London gentleman’s shop offers almost anything disguised as a walking stick. It’s fun to explore
