ApriPoko Robot Universal Remote Control

Apripoko Universal Remote Control

How would you like a small cute little robot taking care of all your remote control tasks? You can walk in the door from home and ask ApriPoko to turn on the stereo, as long as it can be controlled by a universal remote, and he will turn it on and you will be able to relax with a glass of wine while listening to your favorite tunes.

Even though the ApriPoko universal remote is in the testing stage at Toshiba, it is looking quite positive for couch potatoes. You just place ApriPoko in your living room or bedroom and as you use remote controllers, he will notice right away and prompt you with what you just did by utilising its voice feature. When you respond, it will store it in its memory bank and learn to understand your behaviour over time. Now, with his high powered sensors he will know how to turn on the TV. Next time you want the TV turned on, just ask ApriPoko. He will even notice when you change channels and ask you again what you did and you tell him you changed the channel to 4, and then he will know how to turn it to that specific channel.

What else do you have in your home that uses a remote control? How about your garage door? When your hands are full of groceries, you can just ask ApriPoko to close the garage door once he has learned the IR signal. Sounds like a nifty robot to have around the house. Keep your eye out for the introduction; you will want to be the first in line to bring ApriPoko home.

This is more of a novelty item but can also be a good replacement for universal remote controls because you don’t have to keep programming the codes and key in the appropriate device you want controlled. It could also make for a cute little robot to have some fun with.
