Dragon Bluetooth Headset

This device is a communicator that works a bit like the walkie talkie watch that we covered in the past. This one, however, has a much greater coverage - works over 250,000 square feet. Another benefit, unlike the watch, is that it is not required to speak into the device because of the powerful microphone integrated in the device itself.

It can be ideal for people that are in constant communication with another person and therefore not required to use a phone. Also, with it being a small device that hides inside the ear, it can be used for surveillance purposes, although its is still visibly noticeable as the size isn’t small enough for serious discrreet operations.

The use for the device can be allsorts e.g. keeeping in touch with an elderly parent to even with someone who may be only be a stone throw away in the back yard. It can also be fun way for children to keep in touch with their mates.

The Dragon headset communicator also doubles up as bluetooth for mobile phones. It will pick up signal as long as the phone is within 100 metres. When the device is switched on, it goes on a search mode. The user is is then required to find the device through the bluetooth menu on the phone. This is only required the first time, after which the connection will be automatic.

According to instructions provided on their site, a user is required to carry out a slightly different action if they want to connect two headsets together as a communicator device.

The battery does take pretty long for a full charge - 3 hours, but that is compensated with an 8-hour talktime, which is long for these type of devices. It comes in a choice of 3 colours.

The device can also be used for group communication using some extra gear to enable the device for such a scenario.
