What is one way to render your computer inaccessible? By initiating password for access. This should limit access to your system and if the files are passworded too, then it should also limit access to files just in case someone manages to get through the initial stages and gain control of your operating system.

This mouse, form Spycatcher Online, is a biometric solution for gaining access to your system and files. You are not required to put a type-in password on the system as the fingerprint access on the mouse will also double up as a systems password as well as operating as a mouse for navigating your computer and accessing files and whatnot.

This is a pretty nifty idea as passwords can sometimes be prone to loss through memory lapse and of course can also be risky if someone guesses it or manages to find out. The fingerprint password can be used to protect the system as well as important files and given group access.

For extra protection, the fingerprint access can be used in conjunction with a type-in password.

This seems to be a good way for anyone to protect their computer, which is increasingly an important asset for many people as it is so much part of their daily lives. And though it is a bit on the pricey side, it could be said a small price to pay for extra protection and convenience that goes with accessing anything by simply swiping your finger than entering sometimes what can be difficult to remember passwords.

Also, I don’t know whether this a trick of the mind or rather badly taken image of the mouse (from the image it looks like a CD disc player from the 90s), it does appear to have extra width compared to a typical mouse you might see. Perhaps this has something to do with fitting in extra gear inside to accomodate the biometric software, but if it is bigger than normal, it might take a while to get use to using it unless you have a sizeable palm in which case you should be OK.
