Flying model planes or driving RC cars is a passion for some and an enjoyable past time for others, but it can be even more fun if you were to attach a DVR camera that can be used to record video or take snaps from the above or at ground level.

This camera can be used for surveillance purposes or simply to get shots of difficult to see places that a RC plane can hover over, which would otherwise not be possible. Though the Fly DVR Camera is designed for the purpose of mounting on these types of items, its small size (Length 85mm, diameter 28mm ) lends itself to other kind of surveillance, too.

I am sure some model plane enthusiasts wonder what it it be like to get video recordings from quite high up whilst they are controlling the planes. The views must be stunning, and with sound to go with the recordings, you can pick up on sights and sounds such as birds, people, traffic and whatever else the plane is flying above.

The camera is designed like a thin tube so it is easily mountable on the aforementioned gadgets.

When you want to take photos, you can choose to use a timer to set the intervals when the camera will take phots. I have been told the minimum intervals are 10 seconds and the maximum intervals are 300 seconds (5 minutes)

The negative aspect of the camera is that it has battery lifespan of 1 to 2 hours before it requires recharge, and with an ability to store up to many hours of footage using the 2GB menmory supplied or even more with the 4 GB (optional), there will need to be a break in recording to charge up the battery before recording can commence.
