Technically, this is not a spy or a security gadget in the sense that it is to protect a home or building, but it can be said to have security aspects to it because it is a product designed for surveillance of an area, not of the home, office or some other location, but a pool.
The gadget is designed to protect children who may fall into a pool unattended. The pool safety alarm will sound an alarm by using a sensor to detect motion in the water which is loud enough to be heard by people some distance away as well as sounding an alarm on the receiver unit that can be up to 200 feet away from the pool itself.
A product like this is ideal for any household with young children and has a private pool as it can possibly save a life.
Of course, it can also be used to guard a pool from unauthorised access.
