We have reviewed one or two different types of safes before, but this one is a bit different, to say the least. Not only is it a safe with quite a bit of storage space and with tough security, it is also waterproof and fireproof. So, even if there is fire, God forbid, this safe will protect the contents inside without being damaged. The waterproof aspect of it can also be valuable in case there is a flood. It can withstand fire for approximately 30 minutes (varying depending on heat) and under water for 24 hours or so.

However, the main aspect of this safe that makes it really noteworthy is the fact that it can also be used for data storage through its USB pass through, but storage devices will need to be bought separately that fits inside the safe itself. This means you can store important files from your computer as a backup. The data is protected by a password system and, of course, from fire.

SentrySafe, the company behind this has also various other similar devices that provide security and are water and fireproof; the one that caught my interest was the hard drive. What’s so interesting about a typical hard drive, you may ask? Well, this one is unlike the typical hard drive, it is actually water and fireproof like the above safe. It provides direct connection to a computer via a USB port and files can be backed up on the hard drive through it. Again, this is not really distinct as a hard drive in itself, but the aspects of being water and fireproof can come in handy, or least provides some peace of mind.
