Keychain Anti-Lost/Theft Electronic Security Alarm

If you are not keen on spending around £50 on a homing device but would like one that has a similar function, then this keychain anti-lost/theft electronic security alarm might be a good option as it is much cheaper. It comes with two parts – the keychain acts as a reciver while the transmitter is fixed on to whatever item you may want to track.
It works by sounding an alarm on the receiver unit (the keychain) when the source of the tracking ventures outside a pre-determined range between 1 and 25 metres. So you can track by putting the transmitter on a toddler, for example, and if they go outside the distance you set, it will sound an alarm. It can of course also be used on various items such as a remote control so you know how close it is if it gets lost, quite useful in a household with young children.
The keychain ant-theft security alarm can also be useful to tag any valuable item that you may carry you with often, so if you drop it or gets stolen, you should a hear a sound when it leaves the pre-set distance.
This, unlike the homing device we reviewed in the past, does not have nearly the same range, and at the price it is sold (a touch under $6), it is difficult to say how reliable the item will be. But if you want a tracking device that is extremely affordable, then this may well meet your requirements.
