Many Americans keep guns in the home as they are afforded to by their constitution. While most households do not own a gun just because they are allowed to, many do, especially in crime ridden areas for protection in case of burglary or attacks. However, having a gun in the home can also be dangerous as far as safety is concerned if there are kids around. While it is important to have access to a gun quickly, it also needs to be hidden away so no one other than the owner can access it quickly if it is needed.

This is what makes Bio Vault a good option for a gun owner because it provides the combination of fast access as well as safety.

Another advantage this has over a safe based on a key lock is that there is no danger of losing a key and not having access to it in an emergency. This quickly recognises the fingerprint stored in the system, and of ocurse, only the owner the can store fingerprints as an administrator, so anyone unauthorised will not have access.

This uses state of the art technology to check human, live fingerprints and can store up to 50 fingerprints in its memory. The biometric sensor it uses is a sub dermal swipe sensor and scratch and impact resistant. It works on rechargeable batteries which last up to one year and also comes with an electric adaptor. It will retain memory when battery runs out.

The possible downside is that biometric technology can let people down sometimes by not recognising a fingerprint the first time so a few tries may be required, but this may not be the case with this product as it will no doubt have undergone serious testing because it is designed for a product where people should not be let down when it comes to accessing it.
