It is a box, it is a phone, it has a sim – what is it? It is all these and more. It is a phone in a box with a sim card and a microphone! This nifty device allows you to eavesdrop on conversations which may be supposed to be private and confidential.

Once you dial the number from another phone, you will be able to hear all conversations around this gadget. If you need to check up on somebody, if you want to verify a person’s bonafides or intentions, you may want to use a spy device like this. Though it is not cheap, it is certainly cheaper than hiring a detective! It is small and easy to use.

However, it works only on GSM networks – it will not work on CDMA networks. And while its battery is long lasting when fully charged, it will obviously not work forever and then you will have to retrieve it and charge it again.

The spy ear gets charged through USB and does not require any fancy configuration to use. It has LED lights and the red light comes on to tell you that the device is fully charged. The box can be sitting anywhere or even be hiding in plain sight and nobody will even notice it. As a covert spying gear it is another weapon in the arsenal of spying and eavesdropping gadgets, which are easily available through the internet.

It is not really an ideal device if you want to use it for continuous monitoring because there are others available that do this job, for example, devices that plug into a socket, but this is more of a discreet product.
