The CP-1 is a USB corded mouse that also integrates an audio transmitter for listening in. It’s capable of transmitting the audio that it picks up to any audio receiver sold by Endoacustica. As the device is powered by it’s USB connection, the CP-1 only transmits audio when the computer is on. It also operates as a standard mouse. It does not give any details as to the range it is able to transmit.

Researchers in the US claim to be able to develop a device that is able to eavesdrop on mobile phone conversations by hacking into GSM networks, for a cost of mere $1,000. Previous attempts to develop such a device have cost upwards of $100,000.

The 64-bit A5/1 Network Encryption used on GSM networks has been cracked for almost a decade now, but after the developments that occurred at this year’s 2008 Black Hat Conference in Washington D.C., the technology is that much closer to being developed.

This handheld wireless receiver and digital video recorder is a bit of spy kit that has been on my wish list for a long time. Thanks again to Pakatak, I finally get to play with this lovely bit of kit! In a nutshell, the receiver allows you to receive any 2.4GHz wireless camera and then record the video footage into an MPEG4 format. This kit combines a receiver, 2.5 inch (5 cm) monitor and a video recorder in a single portable gadget.

This kit particularly lends itself to operations in the field. No bulky monitors, PCs or laptops to worry about when using this portable receiver. All you need is a battery, a camera and the receiver.

Many radio controlled cars with spy functionalities such as listening devices and cameras have tended to be slightly disappointing either because of their limited capabilities or the vehicle itself is too primitive looking, probably because they mostly tended to be designed for children. Not all adults would be too keen being seen at the controls of one of those. However, this, on the other hand, is a car that looks like it was designed for the family and would not look out of place in the hands of an adult.

This is a micro-size wireless spy earpiece. Its extremely small and designed for people that need instructions sent to them without anyone else being able to tell. You may have seen earpieces worn by television presenters having instructions radioed to them by a director. Those are usually visible with an earpiece attached to an ear or a piece of wire hanging by the side of an ear, although modern pieces are are much better at hiding it from the viewers.
