Businesses Using Surveillance and Spy Gadgets

Here is a very interesting article that suggests businesses of all sizes are resorting to using all sorts of surveillance technology to help with security of their busineses. This is very interesting because it was only until recently such gadgets were considered as toys for 'techies' and that they weren't much use beyond that, however, it seems there is a much more serious aspect to them.

Anti GPS Tracker Device

With the recent decrease in cost of global position devices (GPS), both monitoring units and tracking devices have become rather popular, so having the ability to disable all GPS trackers within a 2 metre radius can definitely come in handy. This GPS Tracker Defence from TrackerShack was made to do exactly that. The device is plugged directly into the power socket of your car, and after one minute it will disable any GPS trackers within 2 metres. This device would be perfect for a smaller vehicle or a vehicle with its power socket in between the seats rather than in the front, as 2 metres isn’t always the full length of a vehicle.

Mobile Phone Detector Unit

There are a number of places where it is undesirable to allow mobile phone use. For example, in a library, a court room, a place of religious worship, in certain offices, in theatres, you get the idea. You could block the phone signals using a phone jammer device, but phone jammers are illegal in most countries in the EU and some US states. So how do you solve the problem? Mobile phone blocking bag

Ok, the title is a little misleading, and that was intentional. This means you can stop anyone calling you, since the phone doesn’t have enough signal with the network to allow a call to take place.

Phone Jammer Devices - Big and Small

Friday, November 16th, 2007
Portable Jammer Review

Phone jammers remain one of the most desirable spy gadgets next to spy cameras (no statistic, just based on my unproven observations!). Having reviewed a number of phone jammers on Spy Review, I thought I’d feed your hunger with a couple more phone jammers. Both are really portable units, but they differ considerably in capabilities.

Portable Audio Jammer - Interference for Microphones

Monday, October 15th, 2007
Audio Jammer

This is something a little different for you, a device that claims to interfere with microphones by generating random noise on a variety of frequencies. The random sounds are meant to desensitise nearby microphones from tape recorders, RF bug transmitters, hard-wired microphones, contact microphones and parabolic microphones.
