<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/Blood-Capsules.jpg'alt'Prank Blood Capsules" />

Imagine if you are at a party and suddenly blood starts coming out of your mouth – you will have given a scare to the people around you, while having a quiet laugh on your own. As a gag or prank item, blood capsules prove to be a great draw, giving a fright to the observers. You simply put them in your mouth and bite on them and ‘blood’ starts coming out.

These capsules are useful in a party, at Halloween, for theatrical use, if you go to an office party or even an April fool’s joke. You can use them as a ‘test’ to see how much your friends or relative or even significant other care for you! You could even theoretically use them at a doctor’s clinic or hospital if you want immediate attention and have been told to wait!

However, while most people will laugh and be relieved that nothing is really wrong with you, there may be some who will be annoyed, so be prepared for that. And just hope nobody calls any emergency service who will certainly not be amused.

The spy periscope goes into your pocket, looking like a largish pen, but when extended, it becomes a long periscope for your viewing pleasure. You can view objects or sights within a certain viewing field. So you can view things which are far away as well as things which require magnification.

Whether you are bird watching or looking into your neighbours or checking out the terrain, this is a handy little gadget to have. A great toy for youngsters, who can check out hiding places of friends or enemies; this pocket spy scope also makes a good gift. Whether you are playing spy games or just hide and seek, you cannot be without the pocket spy scope.

It features an 8 x telescope, a 30 x microscope and it is 12 cm. long. The pen is 9.5 gm. so it is small enough to go innocuously into your pocket. And yet it gives a clear picture of things which are close and far.

Altough it is technically not a children’s spy gear, it can be used as such and have some fun with it in the process.

<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/ma.jpg'alt"Marijuana Identification Test Kit/>

The effects of taking marijuana on a long term can be very dangerous, and many parents are concerned about the increasing number of children using it. THC (9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the main active ingredient of marijuana. I guess everybody knows the euphoric effects it can produce when smoked or ingested.

Fortunately, using the new Marijuana Identification Test Kit will surely remove some of those concerns, without affecting the relationship with your teen. This happens because the Marijuana Identification Test Kit is non-invasive and the teen will not even know he has been tested. Such measures are necessary in order to protect our children’s health, and it seems that the Marijuana Identification Test Kit is very accurate in providing the test response.

This test kit includes 10 aerosol-based spray tests, easy-to-use on any surface that has come in contact with marijuana. What’s great about this marijuana identification test kit is that no extra laboratory results are required; all you have to is spray the surface and wait for the results. Users can check surfaces such as bathroom counters, desktops, car interiors, clothes or whatever they suspect to contain traces of marijuana.

The Marijuana Identification Test Kit is successfully used by company managers as well, whenever they suspect their employees of taking marijuana. In order to prevent any decrease of the work performances or sloppy work, employers can safely the Marijuana Identification Test Kit. It’s a confidential test, non-invasive, and employees will never be offended for being forced to take a marijuana test at the local laboratory. The option of testing the employees with or without their knowledge belongs solely to the user, and depends on every particular situation.

I believe that a $51, 95 price is very convenient for reassuring yourself that your children or your employees are clean of marijuana. Add the increased test accuracy and easy-to-use functions and you got yourself the perfect recipe for marijuana tracking and identification.

<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/phorm_logo.gif'alt"Ad Companies Spying on Net Users/>

There have been lot of news recently about independent advertising companies that are in negotiations with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to allow their Internet and broadband users to be tracked on their activities while surfing online.

They say this would enable to better target advertising to users by displaying the type of ads they are most likely to visit based on what sites and pages they frequent. To give an example, someone that visits sports sites may be shown ads for sports items and memoribilia, ticket information, etc, or someone that may visit health sites frequently might be shown a lot of ads for health insurance and health products, someone visiting parenting sites may be given exposure to baby products, etc.

The information they collect on a user would then be sold on to companies who want to target these users with the information they have garnered. For example, Phorm, one of these companies, that tracks user behaviour, will sell information on to advertising networks, who will then serve relevant ads. Phorm is currently working with BT Broadband, the Internet arm of BT.

There have been cases where major ISPs have allowed these companies without consulting users to monitor their net usage. Phorm was allowed by BT track up to 10,000 of their users without consulting them first. A similar thing has happened in the US with ISPs there.

Luckily, this was stopped once reports of it were leaked, and BT or any other ISPs has not allowed such a scenario since. Any tracking has since been done through user agreements.

There are two ways to look at this. One, for sure, this would certainly provide better targetted ads for a user which could help them find what they are looking for faster, they may have the best deals provided to them on a plate without having to rigerously carry out search for themselves.

Secondly, on the other hand, do we want someone that we do not know have such an intimate knoweldge of us through what sites we frequent? This can put a user in a compromising position.

Companies like Phorm will argue they have struck a balance between surveillance and providing privacy at the same time. They would argue everything is automated and there is no human intervention as far seeing what a person is viewing when they are using the Internet. But, it can also be fair to say tracking and privacy are contradictory as one cannot be done without the violating the other. For example, who would have thought AOL would expose millions of user search data, as they did sometime last year? Mistakes and errors can occur.

Also, not all the time we want to be shown certain type of ads just because we visit certain type of sites. Moreover, some would argue the the existing advertisers do a pretty good job as it is serving us with ads that meet the criteria of the type of sites that we visit often through contextual advertising. Also, big ad players like Google, Valueclick and others spend huge amount of resources tweaking their algorithms to come up with ads that meet the user-interest.

Some might say its a bit hypocritical of us to lament ad companies spying on us when this site writes on products that allow people to do the same on a personal level. Our argument would be, we merely provide information to people to find these products as and when they come out, but we are not forcing anyone to buy such products, we merely provide them an option to do so, which is not what some of these companies want. If they can, they would no doubt track every user without showing slightest bit of concern for the user, if they had their way.

Of course, we also inform just as vigerously on products that are available to defend against personal surveillance. We are not biased over one side over the other, we try to provide honest, impartial advice.

As I, and I am sure most other people see it, there is already too much data of users held as it is. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, Yahoo already keep huge amount of information of anyone using their services for months before being stricken off the record. The period was actually much longer before they decided to reduce it due to regulatory pressure.

To sum things up, if they want to spy on customers, the best way would be to give customers an option if they wish to be tracked. And if they are ever found tracking users without consent or there is any kind of human intervention, they should face dire consequences.

<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/apple-iphone_400x400.jpg'alt"Mobile Spy for Apple iPhone/>

Retina-X Studios, a company that specialises in covert surveillance monitoring software, has come up with a product for the Apple iPhone. The software is much like their software for PC – which allows monitoring of computer activity with total discretion – and is able to log calls, SMS and other usage on an iPhone.

The software runs in the background of the iPhone while allowing you to monitor a person’s use by logging into a specially designated user account over the Internet. A similar type of software is also available for use with other mobile phones and smartphones, but the iPhone version is a new release.

Here is how it works. You purchase the Mobile Spy from Retina and are given instructions on how to download the software on to the iphone. You will then need to set the required level of surveillance that you wish to carry and give the phone to the target person you wish to monitor. Finally, you can log into your account on any computer with an Internet connection to view what has been logged on the iphone. Details will be logged even if data is cleared by user after making a call or SMS or some other activity on the phone.

The user will have no idea the iPhone Mobile Spy is running on their phones because it done totally discreetly hence the name Mobilespy.

Retina suspects this could be popular with parents who might wish to track their children’s activities by keeping tabs on their iPhones. Also, since the iPhone is now a widely used device in organsations, a firm can monitor their usage by employees to find whether user-privelages are being abused or being strictly adhered to.

Like all personal surveillance, there may be some legal issues, so it is important you may wish to take that into consideration before using the Mobile Spy.

Of course, this is not completely new as spy phones have now been available for some time. For those of who might be interested in simply adding the spy technology to your existing phones might be interested in this mobile spy software.

So, the next time a parent is eager to give you an iPhone as a present, be careful as there maybe sinister reasons behind such godwill.

You can view a demo of the Mobile Spy for the iPhone in action here by creating a quick user account.

<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/parentalespionage.jpg'alt"Parents Spying on Children

For parents, making a decision to spy on their kids is not always an easy one. Many struggle with the conscience of not knowing whether to use surveillance which they might see as in the best interests of their kids against the feelings that they might be making unnecessary incursions into their childrens’ lives, especially given kids of today are so much more independent than previous generations.

There is another strong fear some parents go through, which is, they fear their kids eventually finding out which can have repurcussions on a parent-child relationship. Its often an umbiguous line parents have to cross weighing up the cost-benefit of using such techniques.

The two most popular form of surveillance are using tracking devices, which are often done with younger children, though tracking a vehicle driven by an older kid is also becoming rather popular, and of course, tracking the activities of children of almost all ages on their computing activities using key logging devices and software that capture screenshots of what sites they might be visiting and messaging programs.

Here is an interesting article that deals with experience of parents going through such dilemma and coming to a decison.

As I see it, here are some possible for and against reasons that might make surveillance worthy in the eyes of some while against for others.

For:

It could even save a child’s life. If a parent was to find their child was communicating with people they shouldn’t be which could lead to crime or worse, then the parent could in theory stop it from happening if they confront the child.

There are lot of adults who pry on young children on the Internet by assuming aliases and identities of kids the same age their targets. There have been many cases of young cildren falling victim online. No doubt, if the kids had been monitored, many of these cases might never have happened.

It could stop young children viewing adult material on their computers.

Against:

It can dilute a child’s privacy

It can cause strain on child-parent relationship if the child detects they are being monitored

I think there are arguments for both sides because, on the one hand, naturally, parents only want the best for their children which can be difficult to understand from the child’s perspective, who wants the freedom to do anything he/she wants.

I don’t think there will be strong objection if a young child had a tracking device put into their bags or jacket, but spying one one older children is tricky. I think a balance has to be struck between surveillance and how aggressive the nature of the surveillance is. However, there is an argument for saying any surveillance is aggressve in nature because it is being done without the subject’s knowledge.

Personally, just because this site deals with surveillance and spy gadgets, etc, does not necessarily mean I am in favour of all out surveillance. I think there is a strong case for taking case by case attitude to these matters. If a child seems very upright and sincere and unlikely to get into trouble, perhaps there is no moral justification for spying on that child (putting a tracking device which is more for safety is another issue alltogether), but in other cases, there might be great justification. It won’t be easy for a parent whose child gets in a lot of trouble knowing covert surveillance might have prevented such a scenario.

If you spy on your children, do it in a way you don’t get caught for having spied on them, seems to be the moral of the story.

<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/apple-iphone.jpg'alt"Hacking the iPhone/>

The security of the iPhone has been under attack mainly due to buzz by those hackers on the internet. Due to all the buzz, Fast Company decided to do their very own research to learn if the iPhone could actually be hacked and turned into a spy surveillance gadget. What they uncovered was astounding!

Fast Company purchased an iPhone and handed it over to Rik Farrow, who is a UNIX specialist and consultant. They told him to do whatever he could to crack into the iPhone and see just how much damage he could do. Rik easily hacked into the iPhone using H D Moore’s Metasploit and actually took control of the iPhone.

He accomplished a feat that everyone thought was impossible. He was able to actually download all the information held in the iPhone such email, voice main, photos or anything else in the database. Along with this, he could even listen in during every conversation.

Turning iPhone into a listening device

Rik went even a bit farther to show the vulnerability of the iPhone by uploading software to the iPhone that allowed him to add a small microphone so he could listen in to conversations around the person carrying the iPhone instead of just conversations on the mobile phone. He took total control of the phone and using his laptop he could do anything and everything the iPhone could do without the owner’s knowledge. He accomplished this by directing the user to a specific webpage, which would then allow him into their iPhone.

Of course, due to the legal ramifications, the exact way in which Rik hacked the iPhone is not available. However, he did explain that the iPhone is not the only mobile phone that is hackable. He mentioned a few other smartphones such as Nokia, Sony, Motorola, Samsung, and Ericsson.

Having young children that wet the bed is quite a common problem. Whilst most children subconciously become aware when they are about to urinate and get up to take a trip to the bathroom, some children are not. In some cases, there is a serious bed wetting problem, which is often hereditary. It is possible to cure the problem through instructions of instilling a routine into the child, however, it can take time and not always successful.

This gadget – known as DRI Sleeper Bedwetting Enuresis Alarm – plays on the subconscious of the child’s mind which enables the child to wake up before urinating on the bed.

It works by using urine detection. Even the smallest hint of urine will triger off an alarm to awaken the child. The idea is that once the child is awakened several times like this, he/she will get use to this routine and be able to wake up in future without requiring to use the device becuase they are being subjected to adhere to a new routine. There is a detector pad that goes inside the underwear; the pad connects to the device which can sit on a table next to the bed.

In order for the device to have worked, the child should go about 15 days without wetting the bed consecutively.

It claims to work on 90% of the children above the age of 5. That’s a pretty bold claim; unfortunately there are no statistics to back up that claim as no research has been carried out out to determine the level of its success scientifically. The prouct however has been well-tested prior to being released on the market. The product should be used for children over 5 years ae of age because bedwetting is not really considered problem before that age.

There are lots of positive reviews about the product on the main product information page, but it is very difficult to verify how accurate these are afterall their aim is to ship as many products as they possibly can.

To find out much more information about the product, especially how the device works, you can go to the following page.

How would you like a small cute little robot taking care of all your remote control tasks? You can walk in the door from home and ask ApriPoko to turn on the stereo, as long as it can be controlled by a universal remote, and he will turn it on and you will be able to relax with a glass of wine while listening to your favorite tunes.

Even though the ApriPoko universal remote is in the testing stage at Toshiba, it is looking quite positive for couch potatoes. You just place ApriPoko in your living room or bedroom and as you use remote controllers, he will notice right away and prompt you with what you just did by utilising its voice feature. When you respond, it will store it in its memory bank and learn to understand your behaviour over time. Now, with his high powered sensors he will know how to turn on the TV. Next time you want the TV turned on, just ask ApriPoko. He will even notice when you change channels and ask you again what you did and you tell him you changed the channel to 4, and then he will know how to turn it to that specific channel.

What else do you have in your home that uses a remote control? How about your garage door? When your hands are full of groceries, you can just ask ApriPoko to close the garage door once he has learned the IR signal. Sounds like a nifty robot to have around the house. Keep your eye out for the introduction; you will want to be the first in line to bring ApriPoko home.

This is more of a novelty item but can also be a good replacement for universal remote controls because you don’t have to keep programming the codes and key in the appropriate device you want controlled. It could also make for a cute little robot to have some fun with.

<img src='http://www.spyreview.co.uk/images/review/unshredder.jpg'alt='Unshredder - Documentation Reconstruction Software' />

Trying to piece together shredded documents is a mundane task that can take hours to do. Unshredder, a document reconstruction software, tries to solve that problem. Instead of trying to piece together shredded documents in a slow and, at times, in a painstaking manner, you will be able to quickly use the Unshredder and save yourself hours of piecing together small pieces of paper.

The best part of the Unshredder is that it does not take a lot of skill in order to use the program thus reducing the mundane elements of carrying out such tasks, so anyone with basic computer skills can use it in a short amount of time. The actual shredding of the document is still there, however, the software program pieces it together so you receive an image that can be saved to disk so you can print it, email it or copy it for future reference. The Unshredder can reconstruct various documents including torn pages, cross shred, and strip shred items in a matter of minutes.

There are several advantages to using this innovative tool which include saving time, the original document remains the same as it was, lower security risks since it can be done in house, no more losing precious evidence, the process captures the reliability of the original document, the documents can be stored electronically, the documents can be sent electronically, printed copies can be made at any time, and features such as zoom in and zoom out are accurate.

However, as you would imagine, the Unshredder is no magic tool in that it is not able to piece together a document in full unless the content of that document is there in full in some kind of state.

For any professional that needs to see shredded documents quickly and accurately, the Unshredder is an ideal tool.
