Computers Wake Up for Phone Calls

Intel is introducing a new technology that will actually allow computers to wake up while in their power saving sleep mode in order to receive a phone call over the internet.

At this time, computers can only receive a call over the internet if they are actually on at the time of the call. Due to this, computers cannot replace telephones as this makes them unrealistic and of course a huge waste of energy resources because a computer would be required to be left on at all times.
