Video surveillance systems such as Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) can be a powerful resource to have at your disposal. The ability to fully monitor and record a designated area through a series of cameras and a control system can provide you with a significant amount of flexibility. That is of course, if you are able to get in front of the monitoring unit to view what’s happening live or have the time spend viewing the recordings that your CCTV has made.

More advanced CCTV systems allow the user to either log in through their computer and view the live video or recordings. While this is definitely an improvement, accessing a WiFi point or using a mobile network to connect with your laptop is not exactly the most discrete option available.
