If you are prone to forgetting where you left things, then a new device developed in Japan might be quite handy as it promises to locate things without the need to search for them.

In essence, its an object recognition device that can identify objects within seconds when looked into through the glasses. The camera that’s attached to the goggles constantly records what is being seen. When a wearer looks at an object the device will store into its ‘memory bank’ by filming it. (more…)

We know that some people are quite weary of drinking water from certain places because of concerns that it may not be pure. Well, this new device will not only check for its purity but it will actually purify it if it isn’t.

It does this by a process of disinfection by neutralising any chemical that might exist in the water. The disinfection is carried out by producing a beam of Ultraviolet light that kills the bacteria present in the water. (more…)

The device is Eikon Digital Privacy Manager from Upek. It is a biometric security solution that bypasses the need for creating passwords. It uses fingerprint technology to provide access to accounts which would otherwise require entering passwords manually to log in. Spyke is supposedly the first pre-built robot available that uses an existing WiFi connection to control it. This novel spy robot can move, watch, hear, speak, take pictures as well as record video and sound.
