This is mobile (cell phone) that appears to be like any ordinary phone from the outside but is in fact also a .22 calibre gun. Its a properly working phone that can be used to make and receive calls and not one of those gimmicky phones merely designed to hide its main purpose - the gun. I would assume that in this case the main purpose is probably the phone, or both in equal measure.

The MP3 Telephone Recorder (Logitec site is in Japanese, translate using Babelfish) can record up to 50 hours of conversation on the internal 128MB flash memory. The recording device fits between the handset and the actual telephone, and you can set up manual or automatic voice-activated recording.

New laws are shortly coming into force that require telephone companies, for both land lines and mobile telephones, must log information about calls and text messages made in the UK for a year. The stored data about calls made and received will be available to 652 public bodies, including the police and councils. However, access to the information will need to be approved by a senior police officer beforehand.
