Handheld Wireless Spy Camera Receiver and Camera

This handheld wireless receiver and digital video recorder is a bit of spy kit that has been on my wish list for a long time. Thanks again to Pakatak, I finally get to play with this lovely bit of kit! In a nutshell, the receiver allows you to receive any 2.4GHz wireless camera and then record the video footage into an MPEG4 format. There are many overt and covert video cameras that are compatible with this receiver, as it uses the standard video frequencies. This kit combines a receiver, 2.5 inch (5 cm) monitor and a video recorder in a single portable gadget.

This kit particularly lends itself to operations in the field. No bulky monitors, PCs or laptops to worry about when using this portable receiver. All you need is a battery, a camera and the receiver.

A Video Recording Spy Watch

Video Camera Recording Watch

In some ways watches are the most coveted of all spy gadgets because of the neat tricks that some of us have seen them perform, albeit in fictional tales such as Bond movies. Also, since watches are worn by so many people, they can lend themselves to being more discreet and not arouse any suspicion compared to some other body-worn devices.

Quad 2.4GHz Wireless Camera Receiver

2.4GHz Quad Receiver

Wired CCTV camera systems have been around for years. There are many sophisticated boxes that you can buy that allow you to see many video cameras at once. Some computer-based camera systems can give you 16 windows from 16 different surveillance cameras at once! The Quad 2.4GHz Wireless Camera Receiver gives you the capability to see 4 spy cameras at the same time, but of the wireless variety.

What’s the significance of this? It is very unusual to find a wireless camera receiver that allows you to view all four camera channels simultaneously. Most other wireless receiver solutions only allow you to view a single camera channel at a time, and therefore the best they achieve is to just cycle through each camera channel.

Radio Controlled Spy Car with Video and Audio

Radio Controlled Car with Video Camera and Audio

Many radio controlled cars with spy functionalities such as listening devices and cameras have tended to be slightly disappointing either because of their limited capabilities or the vehicle itself is too primitive looking, probably because they mostly tended to be designed for children. Not all adults would be too keen being seen at the controls of one of those. However, this, on the other hand, is a car that looks like it was designed for the family and would not look out of place in the hands of an adult.

Covert Digital Spy Recorder - Same Size as a Finger!

microDVR Spy Camera Kit

The micro-DVR camera kit is truly an expression of how small spy equipment has become over the years. This miniature camera stick is about the size of a standard cigarette lighter (73mm x 20mm x 11mm), yet it conceals a tiny pinhole camera and a simplified version of an MPEG4 video recorder! The micro-DVR supports up to 2GB microSD memory cards, giving you hours of video recording.

Covert Bodyworn Button Camera with Portable Video Recorder

Covert Bodyworn Button Camera Kit

The body worn camera kit consists of a MPEG video recorder unit and a tiny pinhole camera where the lens looks like a normal black button. The idea of the unit is that you conceal the camera about your person or hidden in a bag for covert filming. Since the camera lens is hidden in the button, you’re able to place the camera where it has a greater field of view without attracting attention.

Pakatak kindly provided me with their body worn camera kit to review, and I must say that I am very impressed (and that doesn’t happen very often). In this review, I’ll highlight the best features of both the recorder unit and the camera.

Rear View Video Camera With Auido for Car

A lot of us have been in a car one time or another wishing we had a video camera to record something we had witnessed or even been involved in. As a result, we are left in despair because we have no material proof of the incident.

Security through your door

Spyhole camera foor door security

Door scopes are quite common in some crime-ridden areas where people are afraid to open the door without first having a close look. The same is also true in homes of many elderly people. Because of the vulnerability, a door scope can be a good source of comfort for those who are slightly ill at ease.

A natural progression from a door scope would be to provide video surveillance by installing a camera. This spyhole camera does just that. It is fitted with discretion in mind and no one from the outside will be any the wiser that there is actually a spy camera filming them.
